Surrounded by music since childhood, Making mixtapes by10

and dreaming of one day being the DJ at the local skating rink,

Sarah’s DJ Dreams were SLIGHTLY delayed.

After scoring a job at 14 YEARS OLD

and working a year and half at the

roller rink snack bar,

she was denied a promotion to work the floor

and WAS told BY HER BOSS, “girls cAN’t DJ”.

SADLY, it took her OVER A DECADE to realize, in fact, THEY CAN.

“It was a Carefully curated gathering

in Vermont with 200 DJ’S, ARTISTs, AND CREATORS,

ON A BEAUTIFUL AND luscious FARM.

My dear friend DJ Noor had invited as her guest,

and took me to sit behind the booth FOR THE very FIRST TIME.

I will always remember that moment.

IT WAS bryant jensen’s famous SUNDAY MORNING sunrise set.

Sitting on hay stacks at an Alice in Wonderland like table,

as the sun was coming up, AND A BUBBLE MACHINES

FILLED THE AIR WITH BUBBLES, It WAS a blessing

to witness the time, energy and craft

IT TOOK TO CREATE THE MAGIC

THAT WAS unfolding before my eyes.

From that moment on, there was no more WONDERING about my purpose.

I knEW I was a DJ, here to orchestrate magical

momentS and curate TRANSFORMATIVE environments

that promote, feeling, healing, moving, and grooving.”
